I’ve discovered a new interest in my sewing this past year – ever since the birth of the first “great” niece into my family! I’m in LOVE and loving every minute of the quick projects I’m finding to sew for Ellie!
Earlier this summer it was this easy Alphabet Animal baby panel cloth book by John Butler from Elizabeth Studios. I don’t get to see the munchkin that often and this play date came up very quickly. And, well, I couldn’t go empty handed, could I?
One panel, half a yard of Pellon fusible fleece, an hour and VIOLA! A cute A-B-C alphabet cloth book that she can chew on and hopefully learn from for at least the foreseeable future. Everything comes marked and numbered. The hardest part was keeping the pages in order!
Once all the pages were trimmed, a quick iron of the fleece, top stitching around the edges and a centre seam was all that was needed.
We still have a few of the Book panels available – and well, spring/summer is just around the corner. 🙂
